Quicksilver Theatre has been based
in Hackney for 23 years and is a founding member of HTP. We commission
and produce new plays and perform them to children the length
and breadth of Britain and abroad. To date we have performed to
over 750,000 children in over 28 years, providing many with their
first experience of live theatre.
Quicksilver's respect for each child
as a full individual in society is the basis from which we explore
and celebrate life through theatre. All our shows are thoroughly
researched and we regularly consult with children to ensure we
understand their issues and experiences, so our plays are relevant
and accessible to all. Quicksilver strives to provide the highest
artistic and production standards, creating enriching experiences
for children and their families.
Quicksilver is an award-winning
and internationally renowned theatre company. As a registered
charity it is core funded by Arts Council England, but we rely
on support form corporate companies, trusts and foundations to
enable our work.
