Examples include:

  • David Farr's seminal Crime and Punishment in Dalston - a re-invention of Dostoyevsky's novel
  • Alecky Blythe's award winning verbatim piece Come Out Eli - about the 2002 Hackney Siege.
  • Adam Rapp's award winning Ghost in the Cotton Woods and Gompers
  • Bonnie Greers Jitterbug
  • Max Stafford-Clark's Macbeth - set in Africa
  • William Gaskill's critcally aclaimed Carver - adaptations of five of Raymond Carver's short stories

To complement these professional productions Arcola Theatre also runs a writers' group which gives emerging writers support in devloping their work and the opportunity to see them performed by professional actors.
