Hackney Theatre Partnership (HTP)
is a consortium of Hackney theatre venues and production companies
sharing the same vision of a vibrant Hackney, where theatre can
be enjoyed and valued by all of its residents and visitors. This
is what we are doing:
- Working
to make theatre and the performing arts exciting, relevant and
entertaining to Hackney’s residents and visitors – at prices
which are affordable to all
- Putting Hackney on the map in a positive way
- Providing a platform for new performers, writers, artists,
giving those with little or no access to the arts a voice
- Securing and developing buildings for use by theatre production
companies and as theatre venues in order to support high quality,
sustainable and accessible theatre businesses
- Providing opportunities for Hackney residents to access education,
training, employment and self-employment opportunities in the
theatre industry
- Developing a more strategic, coordinated theatre ‘offer’ to
audiences attending Hackney’s theatre venues
- Establishing an HTP Youth Arts & Education Network that provides
a more strategic, coordinated arts ‘offer’ to all young people
in Hackney.
